I believe this song is tuned to drop D, but I'm going to show you how to play it out of
tuning. The key to me sounds like A flat / G Sharp. Anyway, here's how I play it.

listen to the song for the rhythm and timing changes, I'm just showing you the chords to
in the order..

Rift A
"I packed my case..."
A flat, E flat, B flat
--------------------------|
--------------------------|
--------------------------|
--------8-----------------|
--6-----6-----8-----------|
--4-----------6-----------|

Break A

"...for reasons unknown" (only the first time)
A flat
--------------------------|
--------------------------|
--------------------------|
--------------------------|
--6-----------------------|
--4-----------------------|

Rift A (Again)
"I caught my stride..."
A flat, E flat, B Flat
--------------------------|
--------------------------|
--------------------------|
--------8-----------------|
--6-----6-----8-----------|
--4-----------6-----------|

Rift B
"But my heart, it don't beat..."
C, A flat, E flat, B flat
--------------------------|
--------------------------|
--------------------------|
--5---------8-------------|
--3----6----6-----8-------|
-------4----------6-------|

Rift C
"For reasons unknown..."
E flat, D, C, B flat
--------------------------|
--------------------------|
--------------------------|
--8-----7-----5-----3-----|
--6-----5-----3-----1-----|
--------------------------|

And that's it.. repeat as the song goes. I again, i think this may sound better if you
to drop d and hit the D#/E flat lower on the fretboard, but i think it sounds fine played
fifth string.

Playing it this way also sounds pretty good with full chords on the acoustic.
