summer skin

tabbed by carp_specialblend@hotmail.com

i did this pretty roughly. i know the song is mostly piano and bass, but this sounds pretty good
i use all bar chords

key of F
i play with barre chords but you could play open or even with a capo on the 5th fret,
ill put the shapes for a capo in ( ).

(play main progressoin till interlude)
with capo on 5th ()

Dm (Am) F(C) Bb (F)
Squeaky swings and tall grass
The longest shadows ever cast
The water's warm and children swim
And we frolicked about in our summer skin

I don't recall a single care
Just greenery and humid air
Then Labor day came and went
And we shed what was left of our summer skin

interlude
strum each chord once from top to bottom
F-C-Dm or (C-G-Am)
F-C-Bb (C-G-F)

back to main
Dm(Am) F(C) Bb(F)
On the night you left I came over
And we peeled the freckles from our shoulders
Our brand new coats so flushed and pink
And I knew your heart I couldn't win
Cause the seasons change was a conduit
And we left our love in our summe

interlude once
