Std tuning.

This is an almost perfect transcription of the song. I tabbed it from the version they
acoustic on KROQ.

Chords used:
Dm x 5 7 7 6 5
C 8 10 10 9 8 8
F x 8 7 5 6 5

Dm F
I want to live where soul meets body
Dm F
And let the sun wrap its arms around me
    Dm F
And bathe my skin in water cool and cleansing
    C
And feel, feel what it's like to be new

Dm F
'Cause in my head there's a greyhound station
Dm F
Where I send my thoughts to far off destinations
   Dm F
So they may have a chance of finding a place
              C
where they're far more suited than here

Dm F
I cannot guess what we'll discover
Dm F
We turn the dirt with our palms cupped like shovels
      Dm F
But I know our filthy hands can wash one another's
    C
And not one speck will remain

(Play pattern 2 twice for this part)

I do believe it's true
That there are roads left in both of our shoes
If the silence takes you
Then I hope it takes me too
So brown eyes, I hold you near
'Cause you’re the only song I want to hear
A melody softly soaring through my atmosphere

"Where soul meets body" part:

Dm x 5
Dm x 5
C x 3

Dm x 5
Dm x 5
F x 3

Dm x 5
Dm x 5
C x 3

(strum C for 8 measures)

(Play pattern 2 twice for this part)

I do believe it's true
That there are roads left in both of our shoes
If the silence takes you
Then I hope it takes me too
So brown eyes, I hold you near
'Cause you're the only song I want to hear
A melody softly soaring through my atmosphere

      Dm
A melody softly soaring through my atmosphere
      Dm
A melody softly soaring through my atmosphere
      Dm
A melody softly soaring through my atmosphere

the studio version of the song has a few differences, mainly the intro with the rapid
an extra 8 measures after the first chorus with Dm and F, strumming and chord differences
the "where soul meets body" part, and the studio has the rapid picking intro instead of
Dm. but it's close enough.

here's the closest i can come up with for the studio version intro, btw:
