Sound: Michael Monroe sang perfectly, and the sound problems that seemed to occur in the two supporting bands sounded like they had been fixed. In the opening acts you were unable to hear the singers and some times instruments would randomly cut out, which was my only major quarrel with the show. The only problem during Hanoi Rocks performance were that some times the saxophone seemed to get a lot of feedback or just became a large gridning noise. However this didn't happen frequently so it wasn't a great bother. // 8
Perfomance: The band, mainly Michael Monroe, were brilliant at getting the crowd worked up and everyone thought they were fantastic. They played most of the songs off of their new album, Street Poetry, which included:
01. Hypermobile
02. Street Poetry
03. Fashion
04. Highwired
05. Power Of Persuasion
06. Teenage Revolution
07. Worth Your Weight In Gold
08. Transcendental Groove
09. This One's For Rock 'N'Roll
10. Powertrip
11. Walkin' Away
And A Day Late, A Dollar Short and Self Destruction Blues. Some of the other tracks I wasn't able to recognise however, as only having recently started listening to them. Michael Monroe put on a amazing performance, and climbed off the stage and onto the top of a fire exit which brought him closer to the inner crowd. The lighting was enough to give you epilepsy (in a good way, unless you have epilepsy) and triggered the smoke machines during the guitar solos, making them look smoking hot players. Teenage Revolution, Highwired or Powertrip were the best songs, sheerly because of the sheer amount of energy the band put into playing and working up the crowd. // 10
Impression: The gig took place in Leeds, England at Leeds Rios on the 1st of March 2008. The two openers were Swazi Hookers and a seemingly un-named band, as they didn't state their name and it wasn't revealed otherwise. The negatives being: a small amount drunken 40 yr old idiots ruining it for everyone else, the sound problems I mentioned earlier. The positives being: the bands effort was off the scale, superb performance delivered. The tickets cost £15 each and were easily worth the money. If they came around again, I would definitely make an attempt to see them! // 9

Sound: Vocalist Michael Monroe has to be the most enthusiastic guy, he just made the atmosphere what it was, climbing the scaffolding and reaching into the audience. Just pure amazing! Guitarists Andy Bloom, Conny Mccoy and Bassist Andy Christell played with an awesome and rememberable solo piece. No cock ups, pure solos to mosh to. Thankfully the sound was brilliant. You could hear the vocals over the distorted guitar and crazy drumming and everything just fitted together. Perfection! // 10
Perfomance: Enjoy is an understatement, I bloody loved them! Hanoi Rocks just kept the audience going and constalty moshing, it was brilliant. They played mostly their new album 'Street Poetry.' Playing one of their best songs 'A Day Late, A Dollar Short' just got the audience singing along. Their Live version was definately better than the recorded version by far. 'Fashion' was sung by the big haired bunch, the awesome cheesy surfer song, again got the audience singing along. For 'Teenage Revolution, ' Michael Monroe (Lead Vocalist) came on stage with a very camp George Michael Police hat but that didn't stop the audience jumping up and down and singing along to yet another brilliant song. Michael finally came off the stage and to the front of the audience, literally everyone pushed to touch HIM, it was amazing. Michael got everyone singing the chorus to 'This one's for Rock n Roll' he rose the microphone over the audience and the guitars stopped leaving only the drumming and letting the audience sing the chorus. The lighting was very well done, just a beam of light was on Michael Monroe and you could just see a black outline of HIM stood in a very proud positionas if to say 'I am God.' // 10
Impression: Hanoi Rocks played; In England, at Leeds, at Rios, on the 1st of March 2008. Quite the perfect place to have a band Who started in the 80's and were not even that famous. Support acts were 'Swazi Hookers' and 'Soho Dolls.' Both were abit poor. You couldn't even hear the vocalist from 'Swazi Hookers, ' the sound was poor and the vocalist threw up behind an amp due to drinking while singing. 'Soho Dolls' had talent but not my cup of tea, they were a techno band with a female vocalist. 'I have a cold, I apologise, I'm normally more energetic' she claimed. It looked like she had never been on stage before, she was playing air guitar which looked like she was playing a bango. But Hanoi Rocks made up for the naff Support bands. I have actually nothing bad to say about their performance. Although Michael Monroe did cock up abit with the microphones and had to get a different one but other than that it was amazing. Tickets were £15, definately worth it, No Doubt about it. The most unforgettable moments were, Michael Monroe climbing onto a ledge about the fire exit and sitting basically above the audience where he clearly could have fallen, the actual gayness of Michael's police hat, The memorable guitar duet with red light beaming down on the 2 guitarist and bassist which brought a tear to your eye and just the pure amazement that is Hanoi Rocks! I would definately go to their next gig! Hanoi Rocks have to be one of the best bands to play Live, their enthusiasm and their constant movement on stage and involving the audience in every song. // 10
