All the bands did tight performances, no sloppy playing. The sound system was great. It rained a fair bit but no sound issues or anything.

Sound: Sound. Bloody awesome. Arch Enemy, Megadeth, Soulfly and Caliban. All the bands did tight performances, no sloppy playing. The sound system was great. It rained a fair bit but no sound issues or anything. I could see some Krank (Michael Amott) and Marshall amplification round so that’s cool. Most guitars were ESP, again only the best. Tight performances and tight sound. // 10

Perfomance: Every band was great, pure metal. Caliban wasn't too appreciated but they worked the crowd well so that even if you didn't like them you still had a decent time. Arch Enemy, hell yeah! That’s what I was mostly there for besides Megadeth. Angela was in top notch condition and the rest of the band played almost flawlessly. In my opinion the Arch Enemy set was way too short. Soulfly surprised me as they went off bigger than I thought! They were awesome, nearly died in the mosh. It rained during Soulfly which only made it even better! Megadeth, what can I say? It's Megadeth. Awesome. Dave is a hell cool guy and there was people chanting "Dave! Dave! Dave!" as soon as they had their ticket checked and ran over the hill and into the venue! // 10

Impression: Gigantour was on the 21st of October at the Riverstage in Brisbane, Australia. It was damn good for Dave Mustaine to bring Gigantour down to Australia. It's good that the tour did not just skip Brisbane and play the 2 biggest cities in Australia (Sydney/Melbourne). QLD metalheads need Brisbane, it's a 350k drive for me to Brisbane, but 600k to Sydney. The timing was ok but it could have been earlier or later. A lot of people were farily busy on the 21st of October. There is only a try-hard Metallica and nu-metal following where I am. it's very rare for me to find anybody who likes the same music as me round here. Gigantour was made twice as great because of all the awesome people I met, even the people sporting Cannibal Corpse shirts were friendly enough. Can find more cool people (especially chicks) in Brisbane in 5 minutes than you would find in my hole in 2 years. "Yesterday I was on the beach riding a f--kin' camel!" Dave Mustaine (then someting about how cool Australia is). "OK, some guy wants to talk to you!" Me and some random guy who got a phone call during Soulfly. I'm pretty sure Gigantour will come back to Australia, probably next year. Hopefully Megadeth and Arch Enemy will be on the bill then too. Worth more than the $85 ticket and the $10 postage. // 10
