Sound: Alice played at the Windspear Center in Edmonton, Alberta which is an almost acoustically perfect building so the sound kicked ass. His guitarists, bassist and drummer were insanely good and of course Alice couldn't have sounded better himself. Loud as I've ever heard, in fact almost too loud. If they would have turned down the bass a bit it would have been more enjoyable. Regardless, it was still an awesome unforgettable night. // 10
Perfomance: Alice is a great entertainer and the crowd loved HIM. Played all the classics and a couple of newer ones (which I can't remember.) Song list (not in order):
01. No More Mister Nice Guy - great opener, loud and kicked ass! 10/10
02. I'm Eighteen - the classic favorite 10/10
03. Halo Of Flies - had a 10 minute insane drum solo where Three guys played the drums at once then the guy continued solo. Absolutely amazing. 10/10
04. Schools Out - Who doesn't love this song? 10/10
05. Poison - it was orgasmic 10/10
06. Billion Dollar Babies - awesome. 10/10
07. Despardo - not my favorite but still really cool 9/10
08. Elected - so funny. Two guys came out dressed as Bush and Kerry and started dancing like fags and then bush ripped Kerry's shirt off and it showed HIM with a 6 inch nipple. 10/10
09. Only Women Bleed - I totally forgot about this song so when he played it was awesome 10/10
10. Under My Wheels - pretty good 9/10
There was alot more I just cant remember (he played for a full two hours.) // 10
Impression: Canada, edmonton, winspear center, october 13/2004. A band called SuperTroop opened for alice for about 40 min to an hour. Their a metal band out of New Orleans and were really good. Great guitarists and pretty decent vocals. Everything about the show kicked ass and there was nothing shitty about it. The tickets were rather pricey as ours was $70 and that was gallery seating but totally worth it. Best money I ever spent. The best part was when alice came up with a 6 - 7 foot boa constrictor snake and sung a song. his daughter came and danced aroound on stage then had a sword fight with Alice Who then "killed" her, he told a halloween story, threw out massive balloons and when the crowd knocked them near HIM he popped them with his sword, gave out money on "Billion Dollar Babies" and at the end, and right at the end he made a white cross out of two posters which he then threw out the crowd. So much more too. Awesome night. // 10
