Sound: Last nights impression of Alexisonfire for there tour of new'ish album was a good one. They sounded just like what they would on a CD and then twice as good. George the main Vocalist for shouts and screams was into the crowd like wildfire, letting the crowd pull him over the barriers and letting them sing with him, he was possessed last night, I was so impressed at this, it's something that most bands can't/won't do. Dallas Green (also of City & Colour), the lead/rhythm guitarist/vocalist was amazing, I never get tired of his voice, not once was there a mistake in the high pitched melodies he was creating. Wade the other lead/rhythm guitarist/vocalist was so energetic, he gave his all here, his raspy voice everyone knows him for was in full swing here and he just let it rip into everyone. Chris, there bassist, well, he didn't get fully into everything as much as the other guys til about half way through the set, then everything was hitting the nail on the head, it became amazing, as every musician knows, you need a solid bass line and he made it. Jordan on the drums, he was like a flea bouncing about! Definately one of the most energetic drummers I've seen Live, solid punch to the band and this is what made it whole. I'll vote this a 9 as Chris & Jordan didn't quite kick it in til a few songs in. // 9
Perfomance: The audience loved them. It looked like it was oversold last night, but still, it was amzing. The lighting for the show was superp, George kept getting the lighting crew to light the audience so he get us to siong to him and everything! There performance was solid as can be and couldn't be any better at all. I would list the songs, but I really can't remember, I was on such a natural high all night, everything was just amazing and 'wow like'. I could of asked for the performance to be any better. // 10
Impression: Gig was at Newcastle University, England, on the 5th of March. Beat Union opened the gig. They we're like a punky/ska with a bit of reggae mixed in it along the lines, was quite good, I met there drummer, he was pretty cool and down to earth and not all stuck up. Comeback Kid were Main Support. I wasn't much of a fan of these before last night, But the energy they had performing was a really good one. Alexisonfire. I love there music, I love there voices, I love there beats, I love there bass-lines and everthing else about them. It was well worth the £13 to see them, even for Comeback Kid & Beat Union, last time 'Beat Union' came there tickets were £8, Comebacks were £12, roll that into one you have £20, then you need to chuck on Alexis' on top of it all, shows you how much some bands can extort fans for like £50 to other bands like Alexis' putting out a measly £13 for a ticket, it was worth every penny. Most unforgettable moment for me had to be grabbing a hold of George and him putting the mic in my face to sing along with him to 'This Could Be Anywhere In The World', I dragged him into the crowd and he (George) was loving it. I will without doubt go to there next gig without choice. It was such an experience to see them again. That was the 5th time I've seen them now and I still have't gotten tired of them at all. Overall amazing night. // 10
