Features: US made, 2004 614 30th Anniversary edition, solid stika spruce top, quilted maple back and sides with Taylor's own Expression system. Neck is also two piece Maple, headstock is seperate from the neck and are joined together. Volume, treble and bass controls on the electric part. Grand auditorium size, bigger than a parlor, smaller than a jumbo. Has a cutaway allowing access to higher frets. // 10
Sound: Suits almost any playing style, easy to play, low action, tons of tone, bright and crisp because of the maple. Access to upper frets, allows you to finger pick as well as flat pick. // 10
Action, Fit & Finish: Finish and action are second to none. Low action, perfect blend of woods, great figuring on woods. Quilt covers the entire back with no dead spots. Would be comprable to a PRS artist grade or private stock quilt. Sides are similar in quality. Perfect staining of the quilt to really bring out the variation and movement of the maple. Top is perfectly bookmatched dead in the center. Tons of silking on the spruce top. Hardware is holding up well. // 10
Reliability & Durability: From what I hear Taylor makes nothing but fantastic wearing guitars. Otherwise big name players wouldn't be using them night in and night out. Dave Matthews has his own signature Martin and used a Taylor the entire time during his storytellers preformance. You can depend on this guitar for anything every night day in and day out. Even the strings are elixers known to last longer than every other string out there. // 10
Impression: I would probably kill if it were ever stolen. It's my pride and joy of my acoustic collection. Plays the best, sounds the best, will be with me until the day I die. // 10
