Rev Theory About Travel Costs

artist: rev theory date: 07/11/2008 category: video news

Rev Theory has released its new album, Light It Up, and it features the anthem "Hell Yeah," which is garnering rock airplay in multiple formats. The album was produced by Brian Howes and Josh Abraham. The band kicks off a tour July 11 in Little Rock, Arkansas as part of Edgefest, and then has dates throughout the summer.

One thing that bands have to be wary of is the price of gas when traveling the country, and we asked vocalist Rich Luzzi and bandmate Julien Jorgensen if it's hampered them at all.

Rev Theory Asked If Fuel Cost Affects Them

"Of course it does. The label has been absolutely amazing. They have not said 'no' to us on one single thing, but we're still conscious because ultimately we're the ones that are paying for all of this in the long run, but it's pretty much saying that they believe in us as much as we believe in them because they have not said 'no,' and we have to tour. Yes, the economy does affect us because people are not making as much money as they were so maybe they're not going to shows as much, maybe they're not buying records as much, people may be not downloading music as much off of iTunes and the various sites, and gas being over four dollars, almost five dollars... If I told you what our touring estimate monthly, for touring and gas it's ten to fifteen thousand dollars, and that's just travel, so yeah it affects us a lot."

Rev Theory will be taping a TV performance on Saturday, July 12, at the first ever Maloof Money Cup, a skateboard festival in Orange County, that will be broadcast on CBS-TV. The band's latest single "Hell Yeah" is also earmarked for the Madden '09 video game, which is set to be released August 12.

Didn't the band Hell Yeah! Have a song called Hell Yeah! on their Album Hell Yeah!? Sounds like no one should ever use Hell Yeah! as an album, song, or band name ever again.
