Slipknot, Disturbed Set For Rockstar Tour

Slipknot and Disturbed will hit the road this summer on the first ever Rockstar Mayhem tour, Billboard.com has learned. The outing, sponsored by Rockstar Energy drink, will run in July and August, with additional artists and dates to be announced.

Rockstar Mayhem is being assembled by Vans Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman and John Reese, Lyman's partner on the Taste of Chaos tour.

Slipknot will be out in support of its new Roadunner album, expected in August. Disturbed's new album, "Indestructible," is due in May.

In related news, Warped returns this summer for a 14th consecutive year as both the longest-running touring festival and tour sponsorship deal ever. Gym Class Heroes, The Academy Is..., Relient K, the Bronx and Every Time I Die are among the first bands confirmed.

The Vans warped tour is the biggest travelling tour ever? I wish they would get better bands to live up to that then. Taste of Chaos is generally better.

But the Slipknot/Disturbed tour sounds AMAZING! A new album from each band! I wonder who else dares to be on the same bill, and I hope they bring this "Rockstar Mayhem" across to Europe.

I heard about this tour. Not into Slipknot but I love Disturbed. When Lyman was talking about this tour, he mention As I Lay Dying, so that'd be a very nice addition.

I think Mudvaybe is also gonna be on that bill, too. Either way, I like all those bands, but I would pay just to see Slipknot.
