Kid Rock, Lynyrd Skynyrd: Joint Tour

Kid Rock and Lynyrd Skynyrd have announced that they will tour the US together this summer, reports NME.com.

The rockers are set to kick off their 'Rock And Rebels' tour in Oklahoma City on August 8. They'll then play co-headlining dates in Houston, Indianapolis and Toronto before wrapping up in Hartford, Connecticut on August 31.

Beforehand, the acts will preview the tour at a special May 15 show at New York's Madison Square Garden.

Kid Rock will be joined by his 11-piece Twisted Brown Trucker Band on the jaunt.

The tour dates are:

08/14 - Cincinnati, OH Riverbend Music Center
08/16 - Indianapolis, IN Verizon Wireless Music Center

08/25 - Toronto, Ontario Molson Amphitheatre
08/30 - Holmdel, NJ PNC Bank Arts Center

I would love to see this cocky is one of my favorite albums. I seen the new Lynyrd Skynyrd a few years ago when they toured with deep purple and it was a great show.

...Wait, what? I appreciate they're both American Rockers, and I think Kid Rock goes well with Skynyrd's Southern Country-rock style, but that is a VERY unique tour to be doing.

i just dont like this lynyrd skynyrd. im not big when nearly all the orignal members have passed on and this really isnt the original lineup. being one of my favorite bands i think the new skynyrd is more of glorified cover band

This isn't very new I heard this a couple months ago on the radio I was quite disappointed to see Skynyrd stoop down to Kid Rock's level by actually touring with him It's a damn shame but this proves one thing Kid Rock has a damn good manager some of the things he's gotten to do with the little talents he has is amazing
