Down European Headlining Dates

Down — the acclaimed New Orleans band featuring Corrosion Of Conformity guitarist/vocalist Pepper Keenan, drummer Jimmy Bower (Eyehategod, Superjoint Ritual guitarist), bassist Rex Brown (ex-Pantera), guitarist Kirk Windstein (Crowbar), and vocalist Philip Anselmo (Superjoint Ritual, ex-Pantera) — has added the following "Evening With Down" dates to its European summer schedule:

07/10 - Hamburg, Germany - Markthalle
07/12 - Koln, Germany - Live Music Hall
07/13 - Malmo, Sweden - KB
07/14 - Gothenburg, Sweden - Tradgarn

Down will support Metallica on the following dates:

07/16 - Bergen, Norway - Koengen
07/18 - St. Petersburg, Russia - SKK Hall
07/20 - Riga, Latvia - Skonto Stadium
07/22 - Bologna, Italy - Parco Nord
07/25 - Sofia, Bulgaria - Vasil Levski Stadium

Down's video for the song "On March The Saints" can be viewed on YouTube. The track comes off the group's latest album, "Over the Under", which was released on September 25, 2007 through ILG/Warner Music Group (one day earlier internationally via Roadrunner Records). The LP was issued in Europe as a limited-edition digipack CD featuring the bonus track "Invest in Fear".

Down is amazing on record and live, and they are probably the most underrated rock/metal band still working today!

New album had two good songs and the rest were mediocre. Overrated maybe.

Come back to the UK!

I saw them in April at B'ham but really wanna see them again. They are the best band I have seen live.

At first I hated the new album as it was nothing compared to NOLA but now I actually really love it, one of the best albums in recent years. I'd say it isn't overrated but probably didn't deserve the 10/10 Metal Hammer had given it.
