Underoath will release its fourth studio album, "Lost In The Sound Of Separation," on September 2 via Seattle-based independent label Tooth & Nail/Solid State. The rock act will support the forthcoming set with a busy international touring schedule.
Underoath is currently performing on the Hot Topic stage on the inaugural Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, which also features co-headliners Slipknot and Disturbed, among others. The traveling 30-date Mayhem tour launched July 9 in Seattle and wraps August 19 in Buffalo, N.Y.
Between dates on the Mayhem tour, Underoath will perform a series of headlining concerts in various markets with support act the Red Chord. In September, the six-piece - vocalist Spencer Chamberlain, guitarist Tim McTague, bassist Grant Brandell, drummer Aaron Gillespie, keyboardist Chris Dudley and guitarist James Smith - will embark on an eight-city trek in the United Kingdom, to be followed by concerts in Germany, Italy, South Africa and Australia.
The Tampa, Fla.-based outfit is expected to headline venues in the United States, beginning October 4 at the 3,000-capacity Pipeline Cafe In Honolulu. Beyond its fall North American jaunt, touring plans call for visits to Central and South America.
"Lost In The Sound Of Separation" follows 2006's "Define The Great Line," which debuted and peaked at No. 2 on The Billboard 200. The set also debuted at No. 1 on the Top Christian Albums chart, where it stayed for four weeks. It has sold 399,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

yeah it really sucks that metal fans are such dumbasses. they get so crazy whenever a new act comes up and everyone starts saying, "oh, they're not metal! boo!" underoath is on the wrong tour. they should be headlining, not supporting shit acts like machine head and disturbed.POSTED: 07/17/2008 - 12:08 pm / quote |

+1, I always thought this was a bad tour for Underoath to be on...playing in front of thousands of wannabe metal heads who think Disturbed and Slipknot are the greatest bands ever...POSTED: 07/17/2008 - 12:17 pm / quote |

exactly. not to take away from those bands, but i think the only reason they're on this tour is because they're fans of slipknot. POSTED: 07/17/2008 - 12:19 pm / quote |

People so closed minded. It's ridiculous. They think that whatever they like or whatever they're a part of is the best thing ever and everything different sucks. Music, religion, college/high school athletics, anything.
Underoath is probably my favorite band on the tour. I wouldn't mind seeing suicide silence and 36 crazyfists. Maybe even dragonforce, hahaPOSTED: 07/17/2008 - 05:41 pm / quote |

I'd love to see Underoath the most, but I bet Slipknot would be entertaining to watch.
But anywho, WOOOO! New album! Can't wait!POSTED: 07/18/2008 - 12:05 am / quote |

: I'm gonna have to agree with the close mindedness of "metal heads". You guys forget most metal heads are not musically gifted, and if they are it's a couple of powerchords...However the "Good" musician will realize there is something they are doing to get signed and i'm not...So he/she widens there vocabulary of music, instead of looking down upon a new act...in other words...give it a chance...you don't know how something is until you try it...new ablum..i'm excited!!!!POSTED: 07/22/2008 - 08:24 pm / quote |
