The Raconteurs are set to release a live album from each night of their up coming UK tour, according to NME.com.
A double CD will be recorded during each show and will be available for fans to buy as they leave the venue.
The "official bootlegs", which will be limited to 1000 copies, will feature exclusive artwork along with a special version of the band's forthcoming single 'Broken Boy Soilders' recorded for US radio station KCRW. For more information go to Concertlive.co.uk.
The UK dates follow:
10/14 - Glasgow Academy
10/15 - Manchester Apollo
10/18 - Newcastle Academy
10/19-20 - London Brixton Academy
10/22 - Bristol Colston Hall
10/23 - Nottingham Rock City
10/24 - Wolverhampton Civic Hall
10/25 - Liverpool University
The "official bootlegs" follows a similar move by Keane who are releasing a record from each show on their UK tour, and it is expected more bands will make use of the technology on future treks.

: It is cool, but it is less cool when the article makes it sound like they're ripping off Keane, which they aren't.POSTED: 10/13/2006 - 11:08 am / quote |

: they must have an amazingly fast cd burner if they are going 2 do a thousand copies after the show has finished but b4 they leavePOSTED: 10/13/2006 - 12:17 pm / quote |

: actually, I believe Pearl Jam actually released a live album for each show, rather than give it to fans after the show.
emhaslam, they'll probably be burning as the show goes on, and can you imagine the qeues to get one? They'll have plenty time.POSTED: 10/13/2006 - 12:21 pm / quote |

This band has no talent. This band has no talent. I will say it again, this band has no talent. Their songs are not even catchy I think I hate them almost as much as the white stripes who again also have no talent |
you know what? you're right. they have no talent, like the white stripes. they're just famous, have sold millions of records, and are definitely better than you will ever be. i mean look at you: you're using a tab website to learn every song you want. write a song half as good as theirs, and then say they have no talent.
P.S. i don't use this site for tabs. . . i just use it for news and reviewsPOSTED: 10/13/2006 - 10:41 pm / quote |

: Haha, niice burn. Jack White has a better knowledge of blues technique than A_XII could ever hope for. If you doubt that, check out the Under Blackpool Lights DVD and watch his performance of "Death Letter"POSTED: 10/13/2006 - 11:39 pm / quote |

: Fairly good idea, although I bet there's some serious scrummage to get them. I've heard of this being done at some classical concert - where you can buy the CD of the show you just saw as you leave, I wasn't aware of it being as common as you guys say.POSTED: 10/14/2006 - 09:31 am / quote |

: I think this a cool idea cause when someone goes to a concert they'll be able to remember it for the rest of their lives by listening to the cd(until it gets scratched). I'm not a big fan of the racounteurs, but it's a good idea. POSTED: 10/15/2006 - 12:51 am / quote |

: It's been done before but it's still cool.... I would be sure to yell something really loud so I could hear myself on it lol.POSTED: 10/15/2006 - 02:08 am / quote |

: funeral for a friend did this last year. its a cool idea though as long as the sound didnt **** up at that particular venue.POSTED: 10/15/2006 - 10:15 am / quote |

: some of metalica's stuff is from here and you can hear one of my friends on it yelling, it would be cool to do that on a raconteurs album for surePOSTED: 10/16/2006 - 09:25 am / quote |

: Yey! I got a album from Manchster. I tried shouting 'I love you' out, but the crowd is really quiet on the Cd and can hardly be heard. It's good though.POSTED: 10/17/2006 - 11:55 am / quote |

: If you're gonna yell something at a concert, yell "Free Bird!". As strange as the Raconteurs are, they'd probably actually play it.POSTED: 03/22/2007 - 08:13 pm / quote |
