: I wouldn't say they're nu-metal drivel, i'm not gonna argue with you but at the very least they are the cream of the nu-metal crop.POSTED: 04/29/2005 - 10:18 am / quote |

: Taproot is unreal. Stephen Richards has a one-of-a-kind voice though. I hope they go back to being heavier like their Gift cd.POSTED: 04/29/2005 - 11:46 am / quote |

: He's helping them because they need help. They were good in Gift, but their last cd sucked balls. Hope they go back to what they were, raw and un-refined, not polished crap.POSTED: 04/29/2005 - 07:30 pm / quote |

: It's just my opinion, but why is Billy Corgan helping a crappy band like taproot?
maybe the fact that they are a crappy band is why Billy Corgan is helping them? people in the music industry form friendships. it happens all the time. its not like 'ur crap so i wont help you'. for many bands music is a way of forming relationships.
i dont mind taproot anyway.POSTED: 04/30/2005 - 06:52 am / quote |

: that poem song was gr8, it jst got boring, same with all their over songs. Steves voice is prety good, but maybe they shuld start doing some more riffs rather then jst sticking 2 powerchordsPOSTED: 04/30/2005 - 06:58 am / quote |

: nu-metal this, nu-metal that...could we stop labeling heavy music as nu-metal please? there is no such thing as nu-metal, it is just a phrase coined by the media so they had something to talk about.POSTED: 04/30/2005 - 11:43 pm / quote |

: i like taproot - own both albums, love both albums. i first heard about them from my ex-gf, and i got her 'welcome' for christmas one year, and instead of giving it to her, i opened it and listened to it over and over. loved it so much i just broke up with her to keep the cd. after that i got gift, and i love that album almost more. some bass riffs sound identicle in songs, but the vocals make up for it. and Stephen's vocals rule live. they truley are a show-band. I saw them live in Fargo last year and Stephen hopped up on a giant speaker, and then jumped onto the balcony, walking around shaking peoples' hands while still singing the song. F*ckin great guy right there. POSTED: 05/01/2005 - 10:54 pm / quote |

: not too excited about billy corgan helping them out if its gonna sound like zwan or whatever... if its like smashing pumpkins, then i will probly like it. but carpenter is definately gonna help taproot out. love the deftonesPOSTED: 05/01/2005 - 10:56 pm / quote |
