Muse Release EP Via Guitar Hero

Muse have released a new 3-track EP via the computer game Guitar Hero.

The ‘track pack’ – which contains ‘Supermassive Black Hole’, ’Exo-Politics’ and ‘Stockholm Syndrome’ – is priced at £5 for PS3 and Xbox 360 users.

Muse are the latest group to offer extra examples of their music to players of the game.

No Doubt, Foo Fighters and Def Leppard have all released additional track packs.

Guitar Hero, which allows gamers to play instruments interactively, has become a massive hit since it was first released in autumn 2005.

The three editions of the game have so far sold 14million copies - earning publishers RedOctane $1billion.

i think guitar hero made way for some posers to brag. Instead of playing on a real guitar, they just use guitar hero and show it on youtube although some classic songs has been somewhat revived because of guitar hero.

However, i do have a problem with people who spend hours playing guitar hero, when they could be spending that time learning a real instrument. When you practice guitar hero, then you know that you are an idiot

I was hoping for new stuff. It kinda would be a cool idea to do, release new stuff thru a game, seeing as how alot of other bands and artists hve come up with some creative release ideas in the past. Bit Im sure playing Stockholm Syndrome would be pretty difficult and fun. Awesome song selection, but i would replace Supermassive Black Hole with Plug in, baby, just to make things a little more difficult.

i've been playing guitar for 16 years, and i still find GH good fun. I was at a party not too long ago where it got broken out... and people with no musical knowledge were kicking arse and just having a good time. I find GH hard(ish) to play because its not a real guitar... everything seems screwy! But its still good fun!

It's a game for Christ's sake, and a fun one at that. You should try it sometime.
I do play real guitar as do most of you, but I still find the game pretty enjoyable with friends.
