Kaiser Chiefs Look To Work With 'Indie' Producer

Kaiser Chiefs are looking to collaborate with a small producer on their next album.

The band’s first two albums, 'Employment' and ’Yours Truly Angry Mob’ was produced by Blur collaborator Stephen Street.

“We’re looking for an underground–type producer for the new stuff," explained drummer Nick Hodgson of their future plans. "Soon too! Whether it’s a disc, download or dongle there will definitely be new songs coming out before our Isle Of Wight gig (in June). And that’s a quote.”

He added that it was important for the band to keep working, declaring, “We deplore those successful bands who just sit in their mansions and take cocaine.”

the thing that pisses me off about the kaisers is when you watch them play it looks soooo easy. the look like they sat around the pub and watched football and one day said "lets make a band2 and instantly made great songs

I liked a couple of the songs on the first album, and I like "Ruby", but most of the KCs music is pretty lame, which is why it pisses me off that their main message on Angry Mob, and in recent interviews, is that they hate everything around them for being so rubbish.

P.S.
"Everything Is Average Nowadays" is such an average song.

When I think of the Kaisers I only think of irony.

Their first album was pretty alrite. Wasnt anything amazing but I enjoyed listening to it.
Wasnt really into the 2nd one though.
I cant really see where Kaiser Cheifs music can go without that good old "oooooh" from the first album!
Shame, cos i enjoy some of their stuff. Still ill listen to their new stuff with an open mind!

I'm really looking foward to their new album. They are a great band, and better than most "indie" bands easily. The problem is that when they have a single, it will be over-played on the radio and everyone will hate it.
