On April 3, 2007 Friday Music will be re-releasing three much sought after classic recordings from the legendary David Lee Roth Warner Brothers catalog:
A Little Ain't Enough (FRM 1054), Your Filthy Little Mouth (FRM 1055) and the highly collectable Sonrisa Salvaje (FRM 1053) (Eat 'Em and Smile sung in Spanish). All three albums have been re-mastered by Joe Reagoso, and each compact disc comes complete with the original graphics and artwork keeping the integrity and spirit of the original releases.
Sonrisa Salvaje is receiving its first ever release on compact disc, making this highly anticipated Roth album finally available to his fans. Originally released in 1986 for a very short time on vinyl, this much coveted collector's item has fetched high dollars at auctions over the years. David Lee Roth gives a great performance along with his band at the time, Steve Vai (guitars), Billy Sheehan (bass) and Gregg Bissonette (drums). This collectors dream features ten rocking Spanish versions of classic's like Loco Del Calor! (Goin' Crazy), Yankee Rose, and En Busca De Pleito (Big Trouble).
Often regarded as one of his most defining hard rock moments, his platinum plus A Little Ain't Enough features twelve incredible tracks produced by Bob Rock (Metallica, Motley Crue). This 1991 smash continues the tradition with Roth staples like Hammerhead Shark, A Lil' Ain't Enough, 40 Below and Shoot It. Featured players include Jason Becker (lead guitar), Steve Hunter (guitars), Brett Tuggle (keyboards + vocals), Gregg Bissonette (drums), and Matt Bissonette (bass + vocals).
1994's Your Filthy Little Mouth is one of Roth's more prolific projects, and highly regarded as one of his best albums to his huge fan base. Produced by Nile Rodgers (David Bowie, Duran Duran) this album churns non-stop with fourteen classic Roth performances. Radio staples She's My Machine and Everybody's Got The Monkey and the bluesy Sunburn are only a few of the shining moments on this classic release. Includes the core band of Terry Kilgore (guitar), John Regan (bass), Tony Beard (drums) and Richard Hilton (keyboards).
The CDs available 04/03. Thanks for the info to SleazeRoxx.

: Oh man. Hard to find? You're kidding me? Also, Your Filthy Little Mouth is by far his worst album with the one not listed (Skyscraper) being one of the best.
Anyway, of all the concerts I've seen, David Lee was the worse. In fact the tour I saw lasted one show. Supposedly it was because jason Becker fell ill but I think it was because it sucked so bad. All he did was play Van Halen tunes. Nothing, zip, nada; from his solo albums.POSTED: 03/01/2007 - 11:25 am / quote |

: mfergel, you're spot on, that was the worst. Skyscraper was the best, no doubt. And an album in spanish? When Kurt Cobain said about "Corporate Rock Whoring", I think he meant stuff like this. If he was so desperate to please his spanish fans, he should done a fresh one, not do the same album in spanish.....still the girls(in those days) would have freaked out on that onePOSTED: 03/01/2007 - 12:18 pm / quote |

: These records are stupidly easy to find in any record store here though. Even the Spanish Eat 'Em and Smile, walk into any record store that still carries Vinyl and they'll have a copy. Why isn't Skyscraper getting this treatment?POSTED: 03/01/2007 - 12:28 pm / quote |
bluesblaster
: this is david lee roth getting as much public attention to forward his career (i.e. make more money) while the public eye is turned to him because of the possible van halen reunionPOSTED: 03/01/2007 - 01:17 pm / quote |

: A Little Aint Enough is bad beyond the title track, and even that is barely above mediocre.POSTED: 03/01/2007 - 03:04 pm / quote |

: Huge fan base? You've gotta be kidding me. This is a blatant advertisement for a has-been (or never was, if you look at his solo career) who's trying to make a quick buck.POSTED: 03/01/2007 - 04:38 pm / quote |

: Why did they remaster those and not Eat Em and Smile...POSTED: 03/01/2007 - 06:43 pm / quote |

: Where are the Sammy hagar van halen years? Why aren't they remastering those. They sound like crap next to the first six that are remastered.POSTED: 03/02/2007 - 09:45 am / quote |

: Eat 'em and smile is his best solo record br far, Steve Vai is the best there is, even twenty years ago. I prefer that one to skyscraper.
Yankee rose, shyboy tobacco road and bump and grind are awesome tracks.POSTED: 03/02/2007 - 10:30 am / quote |

: It's David Lee Roth... is this honestly even worth talking about?POSTED: 03/02/2007 - 12:19 pm / quote |
