Coldplay Reveal Album Details

Coldplay's fourth album, "Viva la Vida," will arrive June 17 in North America via Capitol and a day earlier internationally, according to the band's spokesperson.

"Viva la Vida" was produced by the band with Brian Eno and Markus Dravs. Coldplay manager Dave Holmes previously told Billboard.com the album "definitely takes them in some different directions. I'm not a music critic, but it's certainly a progression, with some really great songwriting."

The band announced on their web site last Wednesday (March 19) that they would be finalizing the track list. "Viva la Vida" is the follow-up to 2005's "X&Y," which topped The Billboard 200.

So far, Coldplay's lone confirmed live dates are at the first Pemberton Festival in British Columbia on July 27 and Japan's Summer Sonic Festival on Aug. 9-10.

Yeah, actually Viva la Vida would translate to "Live the Life." And from what I read the new record is called, "Viva la Vida or Death and all his Friends." You can read that on their site or wikipedia. This should be one hell of an album either way.

well it depends in spanish "Viva" can mean two things. they either meant "Long live Life!"(like an acclamation or shout of joy) or "Live Life" as in go live your life.

I think you're wrong. I'm not spanish (I'm portuguese lol) but I really bet they mean live the life! Just me though. Oh and gay are the ones who think listening to Coldplay is gay... Go crwl in a dark hole listening to Tokio Hotel! Can't wait for this album! Hope they tour in Europe...Couldn't get a ticket for their last show around here...

Viva la vida means "Long live to life", and takes its name from a painting by Frida Kahlo...
