Reunited '90s alt-rock act Candlebox will release its first album in 10 years, "Into the Sun," on July 22 via Silent Majority/ILG records. First single "Stand" will be released to radio later this month; it can currently be found streaming on the band's MySpace page.
Candlebox's self-titled debut album, featuring the singles "Change," "You" and "Far Behind," was released in 1993 and peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard Top 200; it went on to sell 4 million copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Its follow-up, "Lucy," was released in 1995 and "Happy Pills" arrived in 1998.
"Into the Sun" features three of the band's founding four members: singer Martin, guitarist Peter Klett and drummer Scott Mercado. Bassist Adam Kury has replaced Bardi Martin.
"Into the Sun" was produced by Ron Aniello (Lifehouse, Barenaked Ladies).
