Judas Priest 'War' Video Teaser Online

A one-minute teaser for the new Judas Priest video, "War", can be viewed at this location. The song comes off the group's double-disc concept album, "Nostradamus", is scheduled for release via Columbia Records on Monday, June 16 in Europe, and a day later in the U.S. on Epic Records.

Long in the works, "Nostradamus" takes epic storytelling to a whole new level, as it recounts the life of this mysterious, world-known 16th century French prophet.

Judas Priest will guest on the nationally syndicated radio show "Rockline", hosted by Bob Coburn, on Monday, July 21 at 11:30 p.m. EST/8:30 p.m. PST. Fans can talk live with Judas Priest by calling 800-344-ROCK (7625). To find a station near you or to listen to the show live via the Internet, go to Rocklineradio.com.

Judas Priest kicked off its world tour Tuesday night (June 3) at the Icehall in Helsinki, Finland.

The group's next concert will take place today (June 5) at the Sweden Rock Festival in Sölvesborg.

Thanks for the report to Blabbermouth.net.

Wow, Halford looks like a bearded E.T. in that pic.

As regards the song... Kinda short to tell. But it seems like a departure from classic JP: itīs more theatrical and overblown. I guess they are going for an "epic" feel that fits the subject; of course, it may be just this track, though.

Anyway, I canīt wait to listen to the whole thing and see what they came up with. The fact that they are trying something different at this point in their career is great.

BTW, the video is utter cheese.

I'm gonna have to reserve judgement after watching that video and hearing its musical accompaniment. That sounds like it might be a good lead up intro to something that seriously rocks, but on it's own, I'm not so sure.

As a side note, was it a coincidence that there's a picture of Halford on this story and the banner ad across the top is for a Chippendale's show in Vegas? I mean, maybe it's random and it's a different ad every time, but I found it quite funny.

Here's hoping that this epic new Priest venture doesn't turn out to be one big stinker.

The video was Wensleydale Pie with a Cheddar sauce in terms of cheese, and the sound was... I dunno, I've still to be convinced - Its' definitely far more Grandiose than Angel of Retribution was, but I'll wait for the release before I start assessing.

Haha, that video was so lame.

The music's sounding top class though IMO, so I'll let it slide.

Judas Maiden! Iron Priest! I'm hoping the rest of this album isn't like that. At least Nostradamus is a good song.

If the rest of the album sounds like the title track, this record will destroy. Plus, I'm seeing them in July (Not to mention, seeing Maiden tomorrow night).

yeah i kind of agree with you about that War song, have you listened to Nostradamus though? that sounds much more like a priest song.

as for "classic priest" if you look through their discography theyve basically created a new sound for themselves every album or two, sad wings lead to british steel lead to screaming for vengeance lead to painkiller. theyre all uniquely different but still have the priest flavour, just like this album is shaping up to IMO

That video is bad. Bands with members over 40 shouldn't do animated videos, they don't know how to work computers. Megadeth's video for Call To Arms has bad animation, Iron Maiden's video for Different World has bad animation, and now this Priest video..

Lol, this is Judas Priest you're calling cheesy, all of their videos are cheesy, not to mention a good deal of cheesy lyrics, so what do you expect. 2nd cheesiest band after Megadeth. haha.
Anyway I downloaded the song 'Visions'. It's killer
