Children Of Bodom: 'Banned From Heaven' Available On UG Profiles

A new Children Of Bodom song, entitled "Banned From Heaven", is available for streaming on the band's UG Profile at this location.

The track comes off "Blooddrunk", which is scheduled for release in North America on April 15 via Spinefarm/Fontana International. The CD is due in Europe on April 7 via Spinefarm Records (two days later in Finland). Check out the album artwork here.

In related news, the Finnish metallers have scheduled their first-ever UK signing session on Saturday, March 8 between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m at the Zavvi shop on London's Oxford Street.

According to a posting on the Children Of Bodom fan site Scythes Of Bodom, Spinefarm Records will release a digipack version of Children Of Bodom's "Blooddrunk" on April 9. The set will include a bonus DVD featuring the songs mixed in 5.1 Surround Sound, the "Blooddrunk" video, a "making-of-the-video" segment, and a photo gallery. In addition, the CD will feature Children Of Bodom's cover of Stan Jones' "Ghost Riders In The Sky" as a bonus track.

The UK's What Records will release three limited-edition versions of Children Of Bodom's "Blooddrunk" single on March 3:

anyone else think it kind of sounds like "living dead beat" slowed down. IDK the vocals are a little similar. Its a great song tho, cant wait for the album. COB tends to do that alot, recycle riffs and song structures, but then again so do the Ramones. The guitar in this song is great. I think Alexis tone has improved a little.

i just hate people that try to force their views on metal because of the themes. most of the themes are basedon real life events, like murder death, illness, etc. these things happen, this music may be dark, but its better than " everything is okay" crap like those bands from disney and highschool musical put out ( ive never seen anyone sing and dance in my highschool hallways).

I totally agree. Metal rocks, and it does deal with the darker stuff in life that doesn't usually get addressed. Especially when compared to bubblegum pop, metal is fantastic. I was just playing "devil's advocate" (pun intended) and hoping that maybe people will think before they say "X suck, Y are waaaay better." And I really don't think it's rude that I said Alexi can't write a good song, it's really just a value judgement on my part (though in retrospect I probably shouldn't have included it), plus I did point out that he's a great player, one of the best around these days. I just think his songwriting is a bit over-indulgent, ie. too much technicality, not enough heart. At what point does music become sport-like? I just wish metalheads would try to think a bit more, the macho posturing is what prevents the genre from achieving the recognition it deserves. To quote King Diamond, "ALL HAIL SATAN!" haha.
