Atreyu: New Song From 'Lead Sails Paper Anchor' Available On UG Profiles

Orange County hard rockers Atreyu are gearing up for the April 22 release of Lead Sails Paper Anchor 2.0 in the CDVU+ format. The CDVU+ replaces the traditional CD booklet/jewel case with eco-friendly packaging (100% recyclable, 35% post-consumer) while offering an unprecedented amount of content, which is accessed through a weblink that’s triggered when fans put the disc in their computers. Atreyu is the first hard rock band to release a disc in the CDVU+ format.

The CDVU+ version of Lead Sails Paper Anchor 2.0 features the full album including the new hit single “Falling Down,” and a new track recorded exclusively for this release titled “The Squeeze.” You can listen to them along with few other songs from the album at the band's official UG Profile at this location.

Also featured on Lead Sails Paper Anchor 2.0 are the blistering covers of Faith No More’s “Epic” and The Descendents’ “Clean Sheets,” and ten exclusive videos (three live performances, five individual band profile pieces and two behind-the-scenes life on the road clips and a guitar lesson from Atreyu six-stringer Dan Jacobs). The CDVU+ version also includes a 50 page, fully printable, digital booklet that includes more than 40 exclusive photos, song lyrics and new artwork.

In related news, Atreyu have been tapped by Linkin Park to headline the Revolution Stage on this year’s Projekt Revolution tour. The tour launches July 16 at the Tweeter Center in Boston.

Atreyu are currently co-headlining the Rockstar Taste of Chaos with Avenged Sevenfold, and UG took a chance to interview the band's guitarists Dan Jacobs and Travis Miguel at the tour. Check it out at Ultimate-Guitar.Tv.

An "unprecedented amount of content"...?

What, do you put the CD in your computer and then an extra song comes up, then a bunch of pop-up ads and pron?

.....oh.....

...yay...

I used to be a hardcore atreyu fan, some of the songs are okay, but I guess I just grew out of them.

don't get me wrong i still love 'em.
But their older stuff was much better...

Either way they put on a great show at TOC.

Wasn't this called Enhanced CD before? I remember the white Version of White Pony was like that. Had some video footage and a game.

Uh....
i don't know about this band anymore...
I heard like half this album...kind of really bored me.
It doesn't sound like atreyu anymore. Just...boring singing.
no mean-ness. (is that a word?)

Old stuff is much better.
Why don't they just call it
Lead Sails Paper Anchors 1.5
Cause honestly...all the bonus stuff, is just not really anything cool.
Thrice did that DVD and included like 10 performances.
That rocked.

Anyway. Atreyu lost my interest with a death grip on yesterday.

Ummmm I could be wrong but I believe the name of this website is "Ultimate - Guitar" not "ultimate scream" so the focus of conversation should be the guitars which are the best of any of their albums. You have to give them credit for trying someting different even if it is not what they used to be.

That being said, I think i will buy this Lead Sail 2.0 for the bonus videos and for the two new songs.

I really do love the old stuff, but LSPA is just as good (just in a different way.) They're trying a new thing...if you were really a hardcore fan, you'd stick with them no matter what (even the tough times.) Yeah, and I agree with alloran, the guitars are sick on this one. DAN JACOBS IS THE MAN!

im liking this new flavour of atreyu, they've got the right blend there between screaming, singing and good lyrics

Also, you can't deny the fact that LSPA sucks, because it's boring as **** I play guitar and you know what????

it did not impress me at all.

Mr_Zep :
yeah new album is average as ****
i love atreyu for the corse screaming an yelps the singer does, an there is hardly any of it on the new album.
it is the softest album.
if i want to listen to atreyu i dont want singing the whole time, i want the metaly riffs an the harsh barking screams.
oh well, what can you do?
