Jack White Saves Fainting Fan

artist: jack white date: 05/07/2008 category: general music news
Jack White Saves Fainting Fan

Jack White saved a fainting fan at at The Raconteurs gig last Tuesday (April 29).

The girl fainted at The Uptown Theater in Kansas City.

According to sources, White came offstage in the middle of playing 'Carolina Drama' and picked the fainting girl up. He handed her to security where they escorted her backstage.

White then came back onstage and finished the track.

Member of the audience KevRocket wrote to the Back To Rockville blog: "I knew something was wrong when Jack came to the edge of the stage.

"I was surprised when he ended up picking this girl up and out of harm's way. I have seen a lot of concerts, and that was a first."

Nope, in my experience, most people are dicks and would leave her. Ever hear of those times when people are trampled to death at concert? The only time I'd see this happen anywhere else is a metal show around my parts. Kids will punch you in the face in the pit, but pick you back up if you get knocked down.

It's how The Cribs gig in Glasgow should have gone.

For those with no idea what I'm on about, a girl fainted, so the band had to stop the show (with help from producer/Franz man Alex Kapranos) and get the whole audience to sit down.

That's cool for sure. I remember when I saw Pearl Jazm here in NFLD, somehow, this girl had met Eddie at a party the night before, and told him how her boyfreind, who was a huge fan of the band, broke up with her the day of the show, and took her ticket and sold it. So Vedder TOOK this girl, gave her backstage passes to both shows, and proceeded to bash this guy onstage BOTH nights! It was awesome! Musicians are people too is the moral...

I would agree that he's very much unlike Axl and kudos to him for what he did, however the 'stopping songs for right reasons' part isn't completely true. He stopped the show and walked off the stage for five minutes at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley b/c he was pissed about a 'Live 105' beach ball landing right next to him. This was before he got pissed at a fan for running on the stage, causing him to stop the same show a second time just to reprimand him. Jack's a genius, but I still have trouble listening to 'My Doorbell' b/c of that whole deal.

dude people can be scum. the reason he did that is because security were probably on their 16 coffee break, and noone in the stage was paying attention.

white is a great musician, and a great person.

Tru, Antony would have probably had a go at the fan for ruining the performance.... actually to be honest, he wouldnt of noticed... Antony seems to have a real lack of noticing fans... he tries to "talk to the crowd" but he never exactly looks at them or seems like hes in the least bit interested in them!

Nope, in my experience, most people are dicks and would leave her. Ever hear of those times when people are trampled to death at concert? The only time I'd see this happen anywhere else is a metal show around my parts. Kids will punch you in the face in the pit, but pick you back up if you get knocked down.

yup...wisconsin people are cool like that, if you get knocked down someone's always there to help you

yeah youd be suprised here in wisconsin The Rules of the Pit are very well followed. when i went to Ozzfest last summer out in East Troy this dude ran straight into me and i slid and three people fell on top of me and the entire center pit stopped to help everyone and myself up and we kept going. this was during Lamb of Gods Omerta mind you.

Ministry has some good pits, people seem to realize that it's not personal... it really is the less obvious shows where people get hurt. I saw a bunch of people trampled at a Wayne Newton show once, that shit was intense. hardcore or no core!
