Jack White: Between White Stripes And Raconteurs

Jack White has revealed his loyalties are now "divided totally 50/50" between The White Stripes and his new band The Raconteurs, reports NME.com.

The guitarist has been touring with The Raconteurs, the band he formed with pal Brendan Benson, for most of the year. But in between promoting their debut album "Broken Boy Soldiers" he has been working on a new White Stripes record with bandmate Meg White.

He told Uncut: "I have to honestly say that I'm divided totally 50/50 between The Raconteurs and The White Stripes. My brain now has two options for songs that I write, and it's a really nice luxury to have as a songwriter.

"I have so many songs now for another White Stripes record: Meg and I are working on songs during breaks from touring with The Raconteurs."

yes!! new white stripes material! i wonder when it'll come out! i thought the raconteurs were just sort of a 1 time deal. but that's awesome they may make more records! rock on jack, rock on!

he just had a kid earlier this year so yeah, hes a busy guy. I love both of those bands

i hope he keeps in that frame of mind. they're both great bands, and i'd hate to see either one of them fall by the wayside.

although, if it came to that, i'd rather the white stripes survive. but whatever.

Awesome!! The White Stripes and The Raconteurs are amazing! I went to see the raconteurs a few weeks ago and Jack noticed me lol. Can't wait for the new record White Stripes

the white stripes have got to be my favourite band... i also love the racontuers (saboteurs here in aussie) and i hope that we will see many more of both of tose 2 amazing bands
